VMO GROUP HOME is a 24-hour, residential program for youth ages 11-17. We specialize in working with young men who are in crisis and require one-on-one services in additition to typical group care services. Our areas of expertise are well-suited to work with clients who are considered low-functioning or who have several behavioral challenges and or learning disabilities [fetal alcohol syndrome, mental retardation, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), and opposition defiant disorder (ODD), etc.]. It is important to note that VMO Group Home also works with clients who do not fall in any of the previously mentioned categories. However, our success rate in helping to stabilize those with greatest risks and needs has clearnly defined our niche.
We provide the following services to our group home residents:

24 hour supervision and the best quality care in a family-friendly environment with the highest level of accountability for all involved

Experienced, qualified and diverse professional staff degreed [Ph.D, Ed.D., MA, BA, BSc.], certified and or skilled in areas including, but not limited to: psychology, human services, criminal justice, juvenile rehabilitation, education, communication, conflict resolution, health and nutrition, athletics, professional coaching, behavior management, etc.)

One-on-one service

Positive Incentive Plan- that is non-punitive and based solely on positive reinforcement

Accredited and state approved behavior modification program ( handle with care certified staff)

Video camera monitoring with sound in all common areas throughout the facility

Attractive, comfortable, and fully-outfitted living environment

On-site enrichment center with computers for each resident with educational and entertainment programs

Scheduled character-building activities and outings (i.e. visits to the Fl. Governor's Mansion and state colleges and universities, correctional facilities, and historic sites throughout the state of Florida)

Daily group therapuetic sessions to help residents cope with trauma , transitions and everyday life

Weekly sessions with therapist

Daily and weekly recreational activities (local park visits, group bicycle

ESE tutors (who are state certified and working as teachers in the volusia county public schools)

Our comprehensive approach to transitional housing and group care has been successful in helping youth most in need not only because of our unique team of professionals, but also because we believe in strategically engaging young people mentally, physically, and emotionally through various organized, supplementary programs that deliberately address their areas of need and keep them focused on desiring more for their lives.
